Welcome to Nielsville, MN; 3 miles from the Red River of the North, 5 miles south of Climax, 5 miles north of Shelly, and about 50 miles away from any city over 100,000. During the summer of 1997 when we celebrated our centennial, we had 1000 people in town. We are the oldest of the three towns in the area, actually founded in 1871.

Well, we made it to 100 years, so come visit us for our bicentennial in 2097.
